Harmony Nixon grew up on a small farm in the rolling hills of Tennessee and now lives in Indiana with her family. She is a mother, author, poet, singer-songwriter, podcaster, developmental editor, and earth-based healer.

Harmony pours stories of healing, mind, body, and spirit, and her love of the natural world into her music and writing. She has written poetry and music since she was a young girl. Her first poetry book, Unlovable: Broken Pieces of Songs and Memories, was published in December 2019, and she is currently writing her second book. She has shared her reflective writing about spiritual mindfulness and living with purpose since 2013.

Harmony shares reflections and poetry from her experiences in life to inspire others to seek beauty and wisdom, dancing in every moment—especially in mundane and broken places. Her work creates solace for others as they explore their inner landscapes to find healing and inspiration.

Seeing how writing has always been a healing path for her, she chose to study language more in-depth and earned her bachelor’s degree in creative writing and English, focusing on non-fiction writing. She is a writing mentor and editor for writers who want to share stories of healing and inner transformation. “Sharing our stories creates medicine for others, and we find medicine for ourselves in the writing.”

Harmony uses the wisdom of the medicine wheel to help her clients root into their authentic voice while balancing the mind, body, and soul. For over a decade, she has done healing work with people, primarily women, privately and in group settings. She learned the wisdom of the medicine wheel from her teachers at The Four Winds Society.

After finding such a deep resonance with the earth-based wisdom of the Andes, she also became initiated as a Ñusta Mesa carrier. Harmony is also a certified Advanced Theta Healing Practitioner and a Usui and Karuna Reiki Master. Her training in these healing lineages has nourished her longing to reconnect to the healing wisdom of her ancestors. She has healed mind, body, and spirit through these teachings, which grounds her to live empowered and in rhythm with the seasons of life.

“I pray that my creative work opens your eyes to your wild beauty, opening the veils between your mind and soul.”
